Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Medication Renewal Program

📋 General Questions

Learn about how the program works and what to expect.

How does the program work?

You sign up once for our annual program ($99/year). Each time you need a prescription renewed, you complete a short renewal request and answer a few medical questions.

Our physicians review your request, adjust your prescription if needed, and arrange a real-time messaging chat if counselling is required.

What conditions do you support?

We provide renewals and care adjustments for a wide range of conditions, including:

  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Cholesterol
  • Thyroid conditions
  • Eczema and skin conditions
  • Erectile dysfunction and testosterone therapy
  • Hair loss and weight loss treatments
  • HIV prevention (PrEP)
  • And more
Do you only renew prescriptions?

Not always. Beyond renewals, we also help optimize your treatment by:

  • Suggesting evidence-based add-on therapies (e.g., for poorly controlled eczema or diabetes)
  • Ordering lab-based investigations when needed
  • Providing lifestyle and monitoring recommendations
Do you provide counselling?
Yes. If our physicians feel counselling is needed, we'll arrange a secure real-time messaging chat so you can ask questions and get advice about your medications.

💰 Pricing & Billing

Understand our transparent pricing structure.

Do categories change pricing?

No. The program fee is $13/month charged every 3 months (i.e. $39 every 3 months) and each renewal request is $20free for a limited time while we introduce the program.

The program fee includes all eligible medication categories.

How do renewal consultations work?

Each prescription category is completed in one renewal consultation. For example:

  • If you take 3 blood pressure medications, it's one renewal consultation.
  • If you're on both blood pressure medication and cholesterol medication, that would be two renewal consultation.
  • Renewal consultations are completely free for a limited time while we launch the program.
  • We plan on charging $20 per renewal consultation in the future (targeting February 2026).

💊 Medications & Coverage

What medications we cover and how coverage works.

Can you initiate new medications (like PrEP, ED, hair loss, or weight loss)?

Yes. For some categories we can start treatment even if you've never been prescribed before — for example PrEP, erectile dysfunction, hair loss, or weight loss medications.

You can begin by selecting the relevant panel from our main page, then completing the intake. Our physicians will review your request and advise if you're eligible.

If a medication is covered, is it covered for all conditions?

No. Medications are tied to specific conditions and panels. For example:

  • Cephalexin is covered for urinary tract infections (UTIs) and can be prescribed if you have a current or suspected UTI.
  • It is not covered if you're simply concerned about a different infection (e.g., a staph skin infection).

Each medication we provide is linked to the appropriate diagnosis panel.

Can you change my medication or dose?

Yes, in many cases. If your diabetes or eczema isn't well controlled, we may recommend adding or adjusting treatment.

However, there are some restrictions:

  • Blood pressure medications: we cannot increase doses without in-person verification at a local clinic.
  • Certain categories (e.g., testosterone therapy): we can only renew medications previously prescribed by a physician.
What proof of past prescriptions do I need?

If we are renewing a medication originally prescribed elsewhere, you'll need to provide evidence of a past prescription. Acceptable forms include:

  • A screenshot of an existing prescription
  • A photo of a pill bottle with your name and details visible
  • An invoice or receipt from a pharmacy

👉 If the medication was originally prescribed by us, no proof is required.

What labs might be needed?

Sometimes we need lab results before renewing or adjusting medications. Examples include:

  • Diabetes: A1C
  • Cholesterol: Lipid panel
  • Hypertension or kidney monitoring: Creatinine (eGFR) or urine ACR

If required, we'll arrange these separately.

⚙️ Process & Timeline

How the renewal process works and what to expect.

How fast will I get my renewal?
Most requests are reviewed within 24–48 hours. If we need more information, we'll contact you through secure messaging.
What if my situation is not stable?
Your safety comes first. If your condition is not stable, we will guide you to a local clinic or arrange appropriate in-person care.
